It's November, and chances are your little on has already let it be know what toys he or she really wants for Christmas. And many parents have already begun the quest to buy these toys. That's good. But hopefully you've done a little homework as well. And that means making sure the toys are safe for your kids, especially if your children happen to be toddlers.
So before you run out and buy the top 10 toys for Christmas consider these points.
Are there parts small enough to present a choking hazard?
Are there any sharp edges? Toddlers love to put things in their mouth and they also will run with their toys. Sharp edges are a definite no.
Stay away from electronic toys for young children, especially those with heating elements.
And always check with the U.S. Consumer Product safety commission to see if the toy has been recalled for any reason. You can find them at www.cpsc.gov.
So now when your child asks for a new Chuck My Talking Truck, you'll know for sure whether it is safe or not.
